Waffen sind eines der Kernfunktionen von DayZ. Jeder Gegenstand, der genutzt werden kann, um einen anderen Überlebenden oder Infizierten zu verletzten, oder gar zu töten, ist eine Waffe. Jedoch werden in dieser Liste nur Waffen aufgezeigt, die als solche konzipiert wurden, und keine Werkzeuge.

Baseballschläger "A baseball bat is a smooth wooden club used in the sport of baseball to hit the ball after it is thrown by the pitcher. By regulation, it may be no more than 2.75 inches in diameter at the thickest part, and no more than 42 inches (1,100mm) long."

Besen "A cleaning tool consisting of stiff fibbers attached to, and roughly parallel to, a cylindrical handle, the broomstick. Mostly used to clean floors, also useful for getting rid of spider webs and scaring animals away."
Kanupaddel "A tool used for pushing against liquids, either as a form of propulsion in a boat or as an implement for mixing. Paddles commonly used in canoes consist of a wooden rod (the shaft) with a handle on one end and a rigid sheet (a blade) on the other end. This old canoe paddle seems like it has been left to rot for some time."
Brecheisen "Standard curved crowbar designed for optimal leverage. Read instructions before use. May cause injuries if handled improperly."
Feuerlöscher "The instructions read: 1. Hold upright. Pull ring pin. 2. Start back 10 feet. Aim at base of fire. 3. Squeeze lever. 4. Sweep side to side. Dry chemical powder type."
Keule "A blunt weapon, a type of club or virge that uses a heavy head on the end of a handle to deliver powerful blows. Consists of a strong, heavy metal shaft, featuring a head made of steel. The head of a military mace is shaped with flanges or knobs to allow greater penetration of plate armour. This mace has most probably ceremonial purpose."
Ice Hockey Schläger "Ice hockey stick, made of wood, used in the sport of ice hockey to navigate puck by players. Using the hockey stick as a weapon during a match is strictly forbidden."
Alter Hockey Schläger "Old hockey stick, made of wood, used in the sport of ice hockey to navigate puck by players. Using the hockey stick as a weapon during a match is strictly forbidden."
Bleirohr "A metal pipe used in plumbing, designed to deliver cold or warm water to bathrooms or kitchens. This L shaped piece was taken out of piping system and used as a heavy hitting melee waepon able to deliver strong impact."
Fleischklopfer "A meat tenderizer is a hand-powerwed tool used to tenderize slabs of meat in preparation for cooking."
Rohrzange "An adjustable wrench used for turning soft iron pipes and fittings with a rounded surface. The design of the adjustable jaw allows it to rock in the frame, such that any forward pressure on the handle tends to pull the jaws tighter together."
Vorschlaghammer "A sledgehammer is a tool with a large, flat head attached to a lever (or handle). The head is typically made of metal. The sledgehammer can apply more force than other hammers, due to its large size. Along with the mallet, it shares the ability to distribute for over a wide area."
Teleskopschlagstock "Expandable baton, composed of a cylindrical outer shaft containing telescopic inner shafts that lock into each other when expanded. Portable and dangerous. Open with a flick of the wrist."

Kampfmesser "A sharp combat knife with slightly worn out blade and a sturdy handle."
Feuerwehraxt It has a pick-shaped pinted poll (area of the head opposite the cutting edge). It is decorated in vivid colors to make it easy visible during an emergency. It's primary use is for breaking down doors and windows."
Beil "A single-handed tool with sharp bladed on one side and a hammer head on the other."
Heuhaken "A hand tool is used for securing and moving hay stacks. It consists of a round wooden handle with a strong metal hook projecting at a right angle from the center of the handle. The appliance is held in a closed fist with the hook projecting between two fingers. Can be also used as a weapon inflicting stab and cut wounds."
Eispickel "An ice axe is a multi-purpose hiking and climbing tool used by mountaineers both in the ascent and descents of routes that involve frozen conditions with snow and/or ice. And ice axe can be held and employed in a number of different ways, depending on the terrain encountered."
Machete "The machete is a large cleaver-like knife. In the Spanish language the word is a diminutive from of the word macho, which means male or strong and was used to refer to sledgehammers."
Heugabel "An agricultural tool with a long handle and long, thick, widely seperated pointed tines (also called prongs) used to lift and pitch (throw) loose material, such as hay, straw or leaves. Also capable of stabbing through soft enough objects."
Sichel "A hand-held agricultural tool with a curved blade typically used for harvesting grain crops or cutting succulent forage chiefly for feeding livestock (either freshly cut or dried as hay)."
Spaltaxt "Used in wood splitting to split with the grain of the wood. Splitting axe bits are more wedge shaped. This shape causes the axe to rend the fibres of the wood apart, without having to cut through them."
