DayZ Wiki

There is always stuff in a wiki that needs to be done. Here is a page where you can post requests for other users to read.

Crafting[ | ]

I hope we can use this page for discussion of design and such things, too :) How do you think should we design the crafting recipes? Text only or something with icons like this or this prototype?

Crafting (list)

  • A Improvised Courier Bag can be crafted by combining a Rope and a Burlap Sack

The icons will link to the appropriate item and not to the image. Or maybe someone has a better solution. (A recipe can be put into a template so a we don't need to edit everything by hand). --RocknRolla7 (talk) 00:23, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

i would prefer pics and template, but maybe with a border or something around the recipe--TheBlackDracula (talk)
Alright. I make some examples and then we can talk again. Regards, --RocknRolla7 (talk) 18:45, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Projects[ | ]

Here are few projects suggestions:

  1. An article that covers combat mechanics e.g. bullet drop and sway, and how they are effected by exhaustion, stance, bipods etc...
  2. The articles (Sea, Coast, Waters, Fields and Forests, Hills and Mountains) combined into an extensive article on Chernarus landscape.
  3. An overhaul to Survival. I think we got some really nice guides\tips but they are all over the place. The way I see it the Survival article should cover and link to all aspects of survival.

Page management templates[ | ]

I think that we can use few of the common page management templates, for example:

  • {{Cleanup}} - to indicate article issues e.g. require proofreading.
  • {{Missing data}} - to indicate missing info that we glossed over, or newly implemented features that have to been covered on the page.
  • {{Upcoming}} - to mark items\features that haven't yet been introduced in stable.

Overall these will help manage the content better, and provide a quick list of issues for people to work on without the need to go on page by page. --AnotherArk (talk) 07:02, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
