A side-mounted, 3.5x magnifying scope with battery-powered night vision for KA based rifles. In-game description

Overview[ | ]

The 1PN51 Scope is a telescopic scope augmented with a night vision device for the KA-M, KA-101, KA-74, Vaiga, VSD and VSS in DayZ. The 1PN51 Scope provides a reduction to the weapon's dispersion cone, increasing the overall accuracy of the weapon. An extremely rare item, the 1PN51 Scope and the NV-PVS4 Scope are the only two sights to feature a night vision device.

The 1PN51 Scope provides additional zeroing ranges (400m by default), allowing the survivor to make more accurate shots at longer ranges. Additionally, it provides the largest dispersion reduction bonus of any of the assault rifle optics in DayZ. Only one 1PN51 Scope can spawn per server and despawns after 1.5 hours if it’s not taken from the ground

The 1PN51 Scope consumes 0.02 energy per second and therefore consumes one battery every 42 minutes of active use.

Performance[ | ]

The performance table below shows improvements or reductions in the various aspects of a weapon's performance. The base column is the named stat of the listed weapon with no attachments.

Weapon Base Dispersion Dispersion with 1PN51 Scope Accuracy Improvement
KA-M 0.0015 0.00125 16.67%
KA-101 0.0015 0.00125 16.67%
KA-74 0.002 0.00175 12.5%
Vaiga 0.01 0.00975 2.5%
VSD 0.00075 0.0005 33.33%
VSS 0.002 0.00175 12.5%

Notes[ | ]

The use of the night vision feature in the 1PN51 Scope requires a 9V Battery, and the sight cannot function without one. Attempting to use the 1PN51 Scope without one will result in a completely black scope vision with a green reticle.

The 1PN51 or known as Kazuar Optic it’s an Extremely Rare item, can be found only at Rify or at Pavlovo Military Base and can only be one on the map at one time, however on players firearms or in storage does not count.

The 1PN51 Scope, alongside its western variant (NV-PVS4 Scope), now features a toggle-able day/night-mode. By holding the scope in hands, the player can switch between the different modes. This makes the night-vision scope useful during the day as well.

Note: there is currently no visual difference between a pristine/worn 1PN51 Scope and a damaged/badly damaged 1PN51 Scope.
