A side-mounted, 3.5x magnifying scope with battery-powered night vision for KA based rifles. — In-game description
Overview[]
The 1PN51 Scope is a telescopic scope augmented with a night vision device for the KA-M, KA-101, KA-74, Vaiga, VSD and VSS in DayZ Standalone. The 1PN51 Scope provides a reduction to the weapon's dispersion cone, increasing the overall accuracy of the weapon. An extremely rare item, the 1PN51 Scope and the NV-PVS4 Scope are the only two sights to feature a night vision device. The use of the night vision feature in the 1PN51 Scope requires a 9V Battery, and the sight cannot function without one.
The 1PN51 Scope provides additional zeroing ranges (400m by default), allowing the survivor to make more accurate shots at longer ranges. Additionally, it provides the largest dispersion reduction bonus of any of the assault rifle optics in DayZ Standalone. Only a few 1PN51 Scopes spawn per server.
The 1PN51 Scope consumes 0.02 energy per second and therefore consumes one battery every 42 minutes of active use.

Trivia[]
- It is based on the real-life 1PN51 night sight made in the Soviet Union and introduced in the late 80's. It is still used today by the Russian Armed Forces in special occasions and missions. The most up-to-date version today is the Gen2 1PN51.
- The 1PN51 Scope is the GRAU index for this particular night sight, with 1ПН (1PN) being the GRAU index number for Russian night sights. The ПН (PN) stands for Ночной прицел (Nochnoy Pritsel) which translates to Night Sight
