The 5.45mm Round is a type of ammunition. It is a high velocity small caliber round, used in the AK74 and the AKS-74U.
Weapons using this ammunition:
- AK74 - Can be fed directly into the chamber or used in a 30Rnd AK-74 Mag.
- AKS-74U - Can be fed directly into the chamber or used in a 30Rnd AK-74 Mag.
Trivia
The 5.45mm Round is based on the real world 5.45×39mm rounds. That were developed by the Soviet Union in 1974 specifically for the AK-74's use and largely replaced the previous Soviet 7.62x39mm rounds. Today the 5.45x39mm cartridge is used by most Russian and several former Soviet nations for their rifles.
