The AUG, a bullpup automatic rifle, is a selective fire weapon with a conventional gas piston operated action that fires from a closed bolt. It can be quickly adapted to a wide variety of roles with the change of the barrel to a desired length and profile, the AUG is a modular configuration rifle that employs a high level of polymer and advanced alloy components. — In-game description
The AUR A1 (Armee-Universal-Gewehr - "universal army rifle"), pronounced Schteyer ay-yu-gee, is an Austrian-developed and manufactured bullpup assault rifle chambered for the intermediate 5.56x45mm round. Introduced in 1977, the AUG A1 features a built-in 1.5x magnification scope by Swarovski Optik. It features a range finding reticle. The receiver of the rifle is mounted into a polymer body housing. In DayZ, the gun is similar to the M4A1 but without the variety of attachments.
Overview
The dispersion of the AUR A1 is equal to an M4-A1 with no attachments, zeroing is fixed to 300m, and it has relatively high recoil. It is not yet fully implemented.
