A cloth wrap for the arm. It is meant to make it easier to recognize friends from foes in the fray of the battlefield. In-game description
The Armband is intended to be worn as a means of distinguishing members of different groups. Although there is no guarantee that two groups using the same color will not encounter each other, the odds are low given that there are many colors available. The need for identification is particularly important during armed conflict so that friendly fire doesn't result from the confusion of battle.
An armband can be created by cutting apart a Raincoat with an appropriate Knife. Doing so will produce five armbands, all the same color as the raincoat that was cut apart. It is also possible to cut up a Flag with a knife. This will produce three armbands, all with the same color and pattern as the flag.

- The Armband is currently the only clothing item that is able to be equipped to the "armband" slot.
- The Armband was originally added in update 0.53
- In version 0.57, a white variant of the armband was added. It can be created by combining rags and a sewing kit.
