Double-barreled break-action shotgun. Old and reliable design, capable of firing both barrels simultaneously. Uses both 12ga bucks and slugs. In-game description
The BK-43 is a break-action double barrel shotgun that was created during the Second World War. It is reasonably powerful, using the common 12ga 00 Buckshots and other types of shotgun shells, this makes it quite a popular shotgun among farmers and civilians alike who cannot afford higher-end weapons.
Overview[ | ]
The shotgun has two side-by-side barrels, which can discharge one or two at a time. You can toggle between the two modes by pressing X. It's a break-action shotguns and reloaded by opening the hinge and exposing the breech, its shells can be manually inserted one after the other. The BK-43 is best suited for close- to mid-range confrontations. It is a strong coastal weapon, as it is a relatively common find in civilian weapon spawn locations, and both 12 gauge boxes and assorted stacks of ammunition are not rare either. However, the weapon is heavily hindered by the two-round capacity and the short effective use range. In close-range encounters below 50 meters, this weapon can cause tremendous damage if not kill a player outright, but past 75 meters, it falls off significantly, only serving to suppress or possibly disable an opponent. It is extremely lethal at 5-10 meters, but should only be considered a last resort in engagements past that range.
