A Baseball Bat is a type of weapon in DayZ Standalone.
A baseball bat is a smooth wooden club used in the sport of baseball to hit the ball after it is thrown by the pitcher. By regulation, it may be no more than 2.75 inches in diameter at the thickest part, and no more than 42 inches (1,100mm) long.
It does very little damage, and requires several body hits to kill a zombie, although a blow to the head will kill instantly.
Other, bladed melee weapons such as the Firefighter Axe or Splitting Axe are generally preferred over the baseball bat for their superior damage and their utility for opening cans.
