The Bear Trap is a type of equipment in DayZ Standalone. As of version 1.04 this item can be found in Hunting Stands and single-room cabins within summer camps. The trap can be placed after a short delay, and can be disarmed using a Long Wooden Stick. When triggered it leaves the survivor with flashing red health, no matter how much health they were at previously.
In previous versions, bear traps would break a players legs.
