The Bear Trap is a type of equipment in DayZ Standalone. As of update 1.13, this item can be found in Hunting Stands and single-room cabins within summer camps. When triggered it will break the player's legs as well as doing 27.5 health damage, and 20 shock damage. While also doing 90 damage to the players pants, ruining weaker pants like Hiking Pants and Tracksuit Pants, and leaving almost all others in Badly Damaged to Damaged state.

They can be disarmed using the following tools:

After being placed they will last for 7 days before despawning.
