Overview[ | ]

In DayZ, the CR-75 is a medium-sized pistol based on the CZ 75. An early-game primary weapon or mid/late-game defensive weapon, the CR-75 is chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum which is fed from a 15-round detachable box magazine. The CR-75's 9×19mm cartridge provide a little more stopping power than the IJ-70's .380 Auto while maintaining the relatively low recoil offered by the smaller cartidge. This increased stopping power and slightly larger magazine size make the CR-75 a great upgrade from the IJ-70.

Accurate and reliable the CR-75 allows for an attached Pistol Flashlight, Pistol Suppressor and Mini Sights. Already a relatively quiet firearm, the addition of a Pistol Suppressor makes the CR-75 almost inaudible.

In combat, the CR-75 is best used as a close range defensive weapon. Although heavier and slightly larger than other pistols, the CR-75 still maintains a high amount of dexterity, allowing it to be swung left and right rapidly while raised. Combined with its low recoil, the CR-75 can be an extremely effective weapon in close quarters combat. This effectiveness quickly evaporates, however, as distance between the user and the target increases. Although the 9×19mm rounds have more stopping power and a slightly longer range than other pistol cartridges, the poor accuracy of pistols beyond 50m means that switching to another firearm is almost always a better option.

  • The Chernarusk Zbrojovka is a fictive version of the Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod (CZUB) in the Czech Republic, who produced the CZ75.
