The Cauldron is used in a variety of methods to prepare food for consumption (visit Cooking for detailed instructions). Like the Cooking Pot it takes up 12 inventory slots while at the same time providing 12 inventory slots of its own even when full of drinkable water. This allows you to carry it without actually giving up any inventory space. In every aspect except weight and looks the Cauldron and Cooking Pot are exactly the same. The Cauldron was implemented in the DayZ 1.12 update for the Walpurgis Even that spanned between April 29, 2021, and May 16, 2021.
Note: Items that are added to the Cauldron inventory while the Cooking Pot is also filled with water, will become drenched.
