Assorted entrails. Their previous user does not need them anymore. In-game description
Guts is a Resource in DayZ Standalone.
WARNING! Guts are edible but eating them has a chance to make you sick.
They can be obtained by skinning and quartering an animal or other players with a Knife and even found on Infected as loot.
Guts spawn in TWO (2) variations:
- Small Guts - usually from smaller animals like Chickens.
- Guts - usually gutted from Player corpses and larger animals like Goats, Deer etc or found on Infected as loot.
Tips:
- Guts can be crafted into Rope which is useful for early game crafting of Simple Fishing Rod alongside the Bones gained from gutting corpses.
- Guts, despite being edible with the chance of illness cannot be cooked as they will instantly go to Ruined state.
