The Hand Saw is a type of tool in DayZ.
It shares functions with the Hacksaw to free captives from Handcuffs and to produce Planks from Logs and Lumber Piles.
The Hand Saw is separate from the Hacksaw in that it has greater durability and cuts at a faster rate. The Hand Saw consumes 10 spaces of inventory while the Hacksaw consumes 8.
The Handsaw is one of several tools necessary for the construction of a Base, as either it or the aforementioned Hacksaw are required for the gathering of Wood Planks.

- The Hand Saw cannot be used to cut combination locks.
- Like the Hacksaw, the Hand Saw can be repaired with a Sharpening Stone.
