== Notes ==

* Players on PC will notice the Hatchet cannot be stored in the melee weapon slot. Instead, it consumes valuable space in the player's inventory. however, since update 1.27, the hatchet among other tools can be stored on most backpacks. 
* Like in the real world, the butt-end of the Hatchet functions as the face of a hammer. It is because of this feature that the Hatchet can be used like a Hammer in the assembly of [[Fence|Fences]] and [[Watchtower|Watchtowers]]. 
* The Hatchet can be repaired using [[Sharpening Stone|Sharpening Stones]].
