A successor of KA-47, the KA-74 is an assault rifle in DayZ. It is a Soviet-designed assault rifle, chambered for the 5.45x39mm cartridge, lighter and smaller than the 7.62×39mm used in the KA-M.

The KA-74 is based on the Kalashnikov Ak74 rifle.
By equipping the KA polymer buttstock and KA polymer handguard the rifle can be transformed to resemble the Ak74m rifle which replaces the heavy wooden furniture for lighter polymer ones.
