The Longhorn is a break action, long range pistol. It is loud and needs to be reloaded after each shot, making it unsuitable for close range personal protection.
Overview[ | ]
The Longhorn is a single-shot handgun chambered for .308 WIN Rounds. This gun performs very well at medium distance, and is a good weapon to have in combination with a close-range weapon such as a shotgun or sub-machine gun, since it can be stored in the player's inventory. The Longhorn commonly spawns with a Pistol Scope attached.

- The Longhorn is based on the Thompson/Center Encore, a break-action single-shot pistol produced by Thompson/Center Arms. It was offered through various retailers and dealers chambered in dozens of calibers.
- The Longhorn was added to the game in the 0.47 update.
- Until 0.55, the Longhorn was chambered in 7.62x51mm, which was replaced in the game by .308 and 7.62x54mmR.
- Since the 0.57 update, it's possible to detach the Pistol Scope, and also to attach the Crossbow Holosight or use the gun without any optics at all.
- The Longhorn was re-implemented in the 1.17 Experimental Patch.
