The M203 is a type of weapon in DayZ. It has yet to be implemented.
Overview[ | ]
The M203 is a single-shot 40mm under-barrel grenade launcher designed to attach to a rifle. It uses the same rounds as the older stand-alone M79 break-action grenade launcher, which utilizes the High-Low Propulsion System to keep recoil forces low.
Trivia[ | ]
- The M203 seems to be exactly based on its real life counterpart M203, it's a single-shot 40mm under-barrel grenade launcher adopted by the US in 1969 and is still in active duty today, compatible with many rifle models such as the M16 and its variant, the M4 carbine.
- The M203 was can be in renders of the M4-A1 model and its attachments by the creator Pavol Humaj, alongside its Leaf Sight.
- The model, alongside the GP-25 launcher, has remained in the files throughout development however has not been implemented at any point, however the M79 grenade launcher was implemented with 40mm ammunition in update 1.18.
