The most notable person to use the Model 70 was legendary sniper [[wikipedia:Carlos_Hathcock|Carlos Hathcock]] in Vietnam, his rifle was chambered in .30-06 Sprinfield and his rifle  is on display at the Quantico, Virginia Marine Corps Sniper Museum.
