This weapon is a semi automatic with a magazine size of 20. With its generous magazine size and the availability of its ammo, this weapon is a solid choice as a sniper rifle. The rapid-fire capabilities of this weapon make it excellent for taking down moving targets.

The DMR is a standard-issue M14 fitted with a new, green polymer stock, a scope and a Bipod. This turns the already effective battle rifle into a deadly sniper rifle. The DMR is probably the most sought-after weapon in DayZ, though it is less accurate than sniper rifles like the M24 at long range. The DMR's scope can be zeroed from 100 to 800 meters.
It can also be fitted with a Ghillie Wrap.
