The M1014 is the U.S. military designation for the Italian Benelli M4 Super 90 semi-auto shotgun. It is used by the United States Marine Corps.
Highly effective in close quarters combat, the M1014 has faster rate of fire than the Remington 870 and it's iron sights are larger than the Remington's, making it easier to aim at long range. Its long length may prove bothersome indoors. Because of the natural spread of Shotgun pellets and the heavy drop of Slugs, the M1014 is best used inside cities or at close range. When the weapon is fitted with close-range optics, it becomes much easier to aim quickly.
Although shotguns are often disregarded is useless weapons, They are extremely deadly if the proper ammunition is used. Pellets, even if fired from a Double-Barreled shotgun, will instantly kill a target if at least 6 of them hit. Slugs do little damage but are accurate enough out 100-150m.
The M1014 can be found in military buildings, such as the Firestation.
