The Mosin-Nagant was developed in the late 1880s for the Russian Empire. entering service in 1891, and remained in production in the Soviet Union until 1945, and was subsequently made in china from 1953 to the early 1960s. Total production figures are estimated at 37 Million - Making it the most common Bolt-Action rifle in the world. The model ingame appears to be the M91/30, which entered production in 1929 and was the standard model during WWII.

The Mosin-Nagant was added to the DayZ Mod in patch 1.8.4. It supports a variety of attachments, including the Scope and Weapon Flashlight; though as a standard rifle it is inferior to the Lee-Enfield and as a sniper is Inferior to the CZ550. It is also quite rare compared to rifle like the Lee Enfield, though this is likely to change. At this point in time the current stats of the Mosin are unknown.

A "Broken Version" can be found. at this time it is not known how to repair the weapon.

The Mosin-Nagant was a Russian military bolt-action rifle, first introduced in 1891, and in regular production until the early 1960s. They remain in use in hot spots worldwide. In recent years, surplus Mosin-Nagants have become very popular with Civilians, and the people of Chernarus were no exception.

Overview[ | ]

The Mosin-Nagant is quite common, but is generally considered inferior to the Lee-Enfield, because of it's heavy recoil, which limits the accuracy of rapid fire. The Mosin is also extremely loud, and can easily be heard from a kilometer away. Even when fitted with a Scope, the Mosin is inferior to the CZ-550. However, The Mosin is still far better than weapons like the Double-barreled Shotgun.

The Mosin-Nagant supports a variety of attachments, including the Scope and Weapon Flashlight.

Ammunition[ | ]

The Mosin-Nagant only accepts Mosin-Nagant Rounds.
