The Sa VZ-58 is a Czech assault rifle, introduced in 1958. Although it looks similar to the AK series, it is a completely different weapon and no parts are inter-changeable between the two, not even the Magazines. It was phased out of Czech service by the CZ-805 and BREN2.
Performance[ | ]
The Sa-58P is nearly identical in performance accuracy wise to the AK47M. However, it does offer the ability to support Western weapon attachments like the ACOG, though the player must attach a RIS upgrade kit to the weapon before any scopes can be added. However, the Sa-58 does have slightly higher recoil and a lower rate of fire than the AK47M.
Thanks to it's 7.62x39mm ammunition, the Sa-58 does a very respectable 4500 damage, compared to the AK-74's 2722 damage. This is the Sa-58's main selling point. It is similar in length to the M4 variants, making it easier to use than the M16 indoors. It's higher stopping power allows it to defeat an opponent faster in close quarters combat than 5.56mm (M16 or M4) or 5.45mm (AK-74) rifles. However, it's higher recoil and lower rate of fire make it slightly inferior to the AK47M at close range.

The Sa-58 has adjustable zeroing (100 to 800m) and a very small front sight post. It is about as accurate as an M4 Carbine, though it's inferior sights may make accurate aiming difficult. These are the spreads out to 300 meters.
The Sa-58's noise levels are similar to those of the Lee-Enfield, so it is advisable to use caution when firing this weapon in cities as it has an long audible distance and automatic fire can draw a large horde very quickly.
Ammunition[ | ]
The Sa-58 uses SA-58 magazines, which are relatively easy to find. Take note that it can NOT use AK47M magazines, though they can be re-combined[[1]]into Sa-58 magazines, or vice versa.
Locations[ | ]
The Sa-58 can be found in some Military loot spawns, including Barracks and Mi-17 Helicopter Crash Sites. It is common in both of these locations, along with it's ammunition.
