Battery-powered night vision goggles for intensifying images in low light environment. Includes mount system. In-game description
The Night Vision Goggles are a type of equipment in DayZ that can be held in a survivor's hand, attached to a NVG Headstrap or a Tactical Helmet. The Night Vision Goggles must be powered with a 9V Battery to work.
The Night Vision Goggles consumes 0.01 energy per second and therefore consumes one battery every 83 minutes of active use.
Holding L will toggle the Night Vision Goggles up and down on your tactical headstrap if you have been fortunate enough to obtain both items.
When in use, telescopic optics such as the ATOG 4x32 Scope will temporarily cancel use of the Night Vision Goggles while aiming down the sights.
Spawns confirmed at helicopter crash sites and military convoy as of version 1.19.

Trivia[]
- When held in the player's hand, the player can look through the goggles the same way they would look through a pair of Binoculars.
- A pair of Night Vision Goggles can be found already attached to a Tactical Helmet in the Underground Bunker.
- Even small amounts of light, such as that produced by a Glow Stick, can be blinding when these are in use.
