The town contains a moderate amount of houses to loot as well as being home to a water pump, a small convenience store and a chapel. Due to its location near Svetloyarsk, it is somewhat frequently visited and mostly looted by survivors passing through on their way to other more loot dense locations.

Olsha is also the name of the nearby hill from which the town derives its name. The mountain itself hosts a tall radio tower and overlooks the nearby airfield.
