Pumpkin is a type of food in DayZ.
Once a pumpkin has been harvested, it is possible to carve it into two edible (2x2) pieces of Pumpkin Slices using a knife. The Full pumpkin can no longer be eaten.

Jack-O-Lantern
Halloween 2017[ | ]
As part of the 0.62.142502 update on October 18th, Pumpkins were re-modeled as Jack-o-Lanterns. They are the same size and shape as a regular Pumpkin, but have two eyes and a mouth carved out of one side and a faux carve line around the top as well. They emit light as a light source, and their light output is shaped like the eyes and mouth carved on the front.
