The Red 9 is a semi-automatic handgun in DayZ. It was removed in 0.63 and is awaiting reimplementation.

Trivia

• The Red 9 is based on the real-life Mauser C96. During WWI, The rapidly expanding German Army found itself desperately short of P08 Luger pistols, and contracted Mauser to make a 9x19mm version of their 7.63x25mm C96 pistol. These weapons continued to see use in WWII.
