Restraining is a feature in DayZ that allows individuals to either rob, torture, or question a Survivor without fear of attack from the restrained player. When a person is restrained other survivors are able to freely access that person inventory or force-feed them deadly items such as rotten foods, questionable water, gasoline, Alcoholic Tincture, Disinfectant Spray or even Human Steak. To break out of your restraints, mash the "Q" and "E" sequential to each other or have another Survivors use a Knife (disambiguation) to cut you free. Be careful though, as being tied with Barbed Wire will cause you to begin Bleeding. Covering people's eyesight with a Burlap Sack can be used in conjunction with restraining players.
