The Saline Bag is a common medical item that can be found in medical centers in DayZ. Saline can restore a player's blood level and is compatible with all blood types. In order to use a saline bag, it must be combined with an IV Start Kit, forming a IV Saline Bag. The use of a IV Saline Bag will give its recipient a boost of blood regeneration for three minutes, which will replenish the survivor's blood stat by 500 ml in total. It also increases the player's hydration level by 350 ml.
