The Sawed-off BK-43 is a modified version of the double-barreled BK-43 shotgun that has its barrels shortened and the stock has also been cut down to create a pistol grip. But otherwise identical to the BK-43, using the same 12ga 00 Buckshots, and has a capacity of two cartridges.
The Sawed-off BK-43 can be crafted from a BK-43, using a Hacksaw.
Overview[ | ]
Being shorter in length, the gun is more compact and easier to use in confined spaces. Its shorter barrel gives the gun a larger shot dispersal cone when using buckshot, at the cost of a reduced effective range. Also, a lack of shoulder mount increases the gun's recoil.
Overall the sawed-off is more suited to close quarters and face-to-face situations, while the BK-43 has a longer barrel and tighter pellet spread therefore being suited to short-to-mid-range situations. The shotgun can shoot one or both rounds at the same time, making it extremely deadly in close-quarters, but its damage potential is heavily curbed by its frequent need for reloads. The sawed-off BK-43 is best reserved for use against single enemies when you can rail off the two rounds very quickly and then take cover to reload.

The Sawed-off BK-43 can be crafted by combining the BK-43 shotgun with a hacksaw to shorten the barrel and remove the stock.

- The Sawed-off BK-43 is a player-modified BK-43, which is based on the Soviet Baikal IZH-43 shotgun.
- The Sawed-off BK-43 was first introduced as a craftable weapon as the Sawed-off Izh43 Shotgun in v0.32.114557 Alpha patch on 22nd January 2014, alongside the hacksaw and the Izh43 Shotgun.
