Sawed-off five shot bolt-action rifle, fed from internal magazine. Still usable today due to its sturdiness. Uses 7.62x54mmR rounds. — In-game description
The Sawed-off Mosin 91/30 is a sawed-off version of the Mosin 91/30, appearing in DayZ Standalone. As the name implies, the version is considerably shorter than the standard Mosin 91/30, having a large portion of the barrel and stock cut off. Because of this, the rifle has a much lower profile, and can be stored inside backpacks and other storage containers with at least four slots, or on the user's back. However, this comes at the cost of an incredibly reduced effective range and much higher recoil. Weapons that have been sawed off have a significantly higher wear rate.

Weapon attachments are any accessories or devices that attach to a firearm in order to add, improve or modify the weapon's functionality or performance. In DayZ Standalone these attachments take the form of sights/optics, handguards, buttstocks, muzzle devices, barrel and handguard attachments and gun wraps.
