The Tactical Helmet is an item of clothing in DayZ Standalone.
The Tactical helmet is a late-game helmet found primarily at military bases. Often considered the best helmet in the game, the tactical helmet promises good protection from most weapons. It also carries slots for both a universal flashlight and a set of night vision goggles, removing the need to carry flashlights or wear a night-vision headset. The color can be in either olive drab or black, permitting for good universal camouflage.
One of the primary downsides of the tactical helmet is its insulation. The tactical helmet's insulation is low, however when combined with the balaclava, the effect is practically negated. Another issue present is that at close range when receiving fire, the helmet will break faster than the assault helmet. Still, the protection it gives makes it invaluable at medium range or when fighting an opponent that only has semi-automatic fire.

- As of version 1.03, Night Vision Goggles and Universal Flashlight can be mounted on the Tactical Helmet.
- The stats on this helmet are high enough to save you from a 7.62x39mm bullet in close range, without knocking you out. The Tactical Helmet will get into damaged state.
