"Discovered" in trivia section is not correct. The round's name was intentionally changed to "7.62x51mm", and "discovered" implies that this was unrealized. Just keep it at "it was reverted shortly after", as that is concise. --Chaingunfighter (talk) 02:38, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but there's no evidence to support that. Please do not edit with the idea that the change was intentional without proper citation. Your edit has been re-reverted. Ipuvaepe (talk) 02:41, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- The in-game text title of weapon ammunition does not change due to bugs, it can only be renamed willfully by the developers. Whether or not it was a mistake it was still something done at the time through action and thus was not "discovered" as the text implies. --Chaingunfighter (talk) 02:46, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- That's not strictly true. With multiple developers on a project any of them can commit code. Many mistakes can be made, and these are "discovered" (more along the lines of "brought to light" and changed) all the time. Ipuvaepe (talk) 02:48, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Then as the text is, it is fine. I'll agree there's no evidence to support it was an intentional decision, but the current text states; "7.62x54mmR Round(s) was temporarily renamed from |7.62mm Round(s) to 7.62x51mm Round(s) in an early DayZ Standalone patch. It was reverted shortly after." That states the point clearly and doesn't imply either that it was an intentional or accidental action, which is the best course of action to be done in light of little support to either side. --Chaingunfighter (talk) 02:51, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- The quick revert really is enough to call it a mistake, but in the interest of cooperation I agree we won't call it on discovery. Pending further information from Bohemia on their mistake we'll leave it as-is. Ipuvaepe (talk) 03:04, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, that's good. The specific wording just irked me in the wrong way, for some reason. --Chaingunfighter (talk) 10:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

LongHorn[]
The Contender is not produced in .308 Win, G1 or G2[1]. The TC Encore is,[2] but that's visibly different. Please leave the 7.62x54mmR Rounds#Trivia section reflecting that. Ipuvaepe (talk) 18:56, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- To be fair, it isn't produced in 7.62x54mmR either, although there is a good amount of talk about people doing their own custom conversions to both .308 and 54R. Regardless, the actual G1 and G2 aren't built as my page changes reflected so the reversion of my edit is fine. --Chaingunfighter (talk) 19:25, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
