Silencer[]

I have seen they added a silencer for the FNX45 in the last patch even though it is not listed in the patch notes. I do not remember any of the information about the silencer. I was wondering if anyone could update please.

Contradiction in description[]

I'm curious as to why it says the following:

"The FNX45 is capable of neutralizing Zombies in a single shot, and is devastating against Survivors as well..."

but then it states:

"The pistol has a good rate of return and a small , but relatively little damage and poor precision."

This is a contradiction I think.

iirc every gun can neutralizing Zombies in a single shot, if placed to the head. So I would also like a clarification on the current wording(a bit different from the above).--AnotherArk (talk) 16:21, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Modeled after?[]

Currently it is stated that "the pistol is based on the real-life counter-part the FNP™-45 Tactical even though it's tagged as the FNX-45 (the latest iteration of the series).".

Is this correct? because by the looks of it, it is modeled after the FN_FNX not the FN_FNP. --AnotherArk (talk) 15:37, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

I have changed the text from:
"The pistol is based on the real-life counter-part the FNP™-45 Tactical even though it's tagged as the FNX-45 (the latest iteration of the series). The FNX-45 introduced in late 2012 as a variant of the previous generation FN FNP series of semi-automatic, polymer-framed, short recoil operated pistols which are chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. They were manufactured in Columbia, South Carolina, by FNH USA, a division of Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal."
to:
"The FNX45 is based on the FNX-45 Tactical, a variant of the FN FNX which was released in late 2012 shortly after the initial production runs of the FNX-45."
Based on the image, it looks like the FNX (Keep inmind I am no gun expert, so I might be wrong), and I feel that the new variant is both sufficiently informative for our purpose and provide link to far better source on the matter. --AnotherArk (talk) 16:19, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

As of 17.05.2015 the FNX45 in the DayZ SA does NOT use .45 ACP, but instead uses 9mm Parabellum
