Improvised torch that will light your path in dark night. In-game description
The Torch is a type of equipment in DayZ used to light up the environment around you while on the move.
It can be crafted using Short Sticks or Long Wooden Sticks combined with Rags, and upgraded with fat or gasoline.
Torches can be lit with any directly burning fire source such as lit Fireplaces, a currently burning Torch or the ignition sources: Matches, Road Flare, Petrol Lighter, Blowtorch or a Hand Drill Kit.
Fueling:[]
When a torch is crafted: there is a white 'Fuel' state bar underneath indicating how long the Torch will burn for with its current construction materials. The more of the starting crafting material (aside from the Stick) added at the initial craft will show a longer bar.
Upgrading:[]
A torch can be upgraded by combining it with fat or gasoline. This will turn whatever is in the inventory Fuel slot of the torch to Badly Damaged condition but extend the white 'Fuel' state bar significantly. However, only gasoline can extend the fuel to its maximum level.
The Badly Damaged state items cannot be removed from the inventory Fuel slot after Upgrading.
An already burning torch can also be upgraded with fat or gasoline.

A lit torch can be refueled by combining it with Rags, Fat or gasoline.
