A torch can be upgraded by combining it with fat or gasoline. This will turn whatever is in the inventory Fuel slot of the torch to '''''Badly Damaged''''' condition but extend the white ''''''Fuel'''''<nowiki/>' state bar significantly. However, only gasoline can extend the fuel to its maximum level.

The '''''Badly Damaged''''' state items cannot be removed from the inventory Fuel slot after Upgrading.

An already burning torch can also be upgraded with fat or gasoline.
