The Transit Bus, or "Party Bus" as it is affectionately known by the DayZ community, is a vehicle in DayZ Standalone. Some players use this to provide transportation between the cities of Chernarus.
Vehicle Parts
The following parts are necessary to get the Transit Bus operational, as of v0.61:
- 2x Bus Wheel
- 2x Bus Double Wheel
- 1x Truck Battery
- 1x Glow Plug
The following parts are optional, but recommended for the safety of vehicle occupants:
- 2x Bus Left Door
- 1x Bus Right Door
- 1x Bus Hood
- 1x Headlight

- Ikarus is a bus manufacturer based in Budapest, Hungary. It was established in 1895 as Uhri Imre Kovács- és Kocsigyártó Üzeme (roughly: “Imre Uhri’s Blacksmith Workshop and Coach Factory”)
- Transit Bus is modeled after real-life Ikarus 260.30M.
- An Easter egg is located on a magazine next to the driver's seat, it depicts the famous 4chan DayZ post "Greatest DayZ moment or crying in games general". On the magazine reads "Maklo", a Russian player whom the author of the post shares his life saving story in the DayZ mod.
- The Ikarus Bus is still not useable in the 1.08 version of the game but is expected to come back once the diesel fuel will be added.
