Yuzhnoye (Russian: Южное) is a village in Sakhal. It is situated in the south of the main island.
It is a medium-size village with some two dozen houses and a general store. The closest source for clear water is up the hill to the north-east towards the radio tower overlooking the village. There is also a military checkpoint with several tents and containers on the road leading north out of town.
